Started Dogs

Dublin is a black and white female weighting in at 38 pounds. She is medium stature, a bit taller and an athletic build. She is an enthusiastic retriever, very alert, attentive to her surroundings and has a pleasing attitude.

She is a good hunting dog, hunts the cover hard and likes the water as well. She is easy to handle in the field and a pleasure to hunt over. She has hunted at our hunting lodge in South Dakota the past 4 seasons and is handled by most of the huntsman because of her pleasing personality and ease of handling.

Rowan is a solid well-built spayed female that has been hunting at our hunting lodge for the past 6 years. She has had hundreds of birds shot over her, very easy to handle and control. She has had a couple litters for us, and she is ready to go hunting full time and be a family member.

She is a wonderful family dog and very clean in the house. An easy keeper, she will hunt easily with other dogs or with one hunter. She can be handled with a whistle or e-collar and most of the time doesn’t need any corrections. She is a very stable and very experienced gun dog and companion.

Onie is a liver and white female with a solid well-muscled body structure. She weighs about 42 pounds and is a powerful dog in the field. She has a great nose, very good retriever and hunts close. She is very strong and likes to work with the handler. She is intelligent, inquisitive and a solid gun dog. Onie has been hunting with us at Pine Shadows Daybreak and has had countless pheasants shot over her. She also has been run in several trials early in her career. Onie is steady to flush has a great deliver to hand and likes working for the handler. She also is a strong swimmer and strong hunting in the cattails and marshes.

Roadie is a liver and white male possessing a strong retrieving ability and very attentive. He is training well with a partial hunting season at our hunting lodge this past fall. He hunts hard in the field, a very attentive dog and likes to be around people. He hunts close, delivers to hand and is eager to please.
Roadie has a very pleasing personality, accepts the training and corrections and learns quickly. He will develop into a great hunting dog or potential competition dog.

Structurally, he is well muscled, solid build and powerful in the chest and shoulders with the ability to hunt any cover. He weighs in at around 42 pounds with energy in the field and calmness in the house.

Ike is a black and white male weighing in at around 38 pounds, He is a smaller stature young dog with s strong work ethics and high activity in the field searching for birds and hunting close to the handler.

Ike has been out at our hunting lodge in Frederick, South Dakota for his first season of hunting pheasants. He hunts the cover hard, possesses a good nose and listens well to commands. He has been collar conditions, obedient and hunts well with other dogs.

He is very clean in the crate and will adapt to the household quickly. He is a quick learner and likes to please.

Coolidge is a liver and white female. She is a very active high energy female with a strong presence in the field. She enjoys the training and learning new things. Ever inquisitive, checking things out and active in all she does.

She is a strong retriever, good delivery and obedient to commands. She is learning to hunt within gun range, find and flush birds and work with the handler.
