Started Dogs

Birdy is a black and white female, medium build, somewhat reserved in new situations but warms up quickly to new situations and people. She is in the field quartering within range, pays attention to the handler and likes to retrieve. She has had birds shot over her and is a good marker.

She is an attentive dog who likes to train. She will be ready for hunting birds this fall. She is retrieving birds and dummies in training sessions.

Seven is a black and white male born 06/16/2024. He is a medium height male, strong structure in a well-proportioned body. He is retrieving to hand nicely, hunts hard in the field and quarters within gun range. He has been introduced to the E-Collar, and he is doing very well hunting in the fields, finding and flushing birds and retrieving. He is not steady to flush yet but comes off missed birds.

He will be a solid gun dog and will be ready to hunt for this upcoming hunting season. He has had pigeons and pheasants and chukars shot over him in training sessions.

Ike is a black and white male. He is of medium height and weighs about 42 pounds. He has a well-balanced body structure with power in the field possessing a strong nose and natural ability to retrieve.

Ike is very attentive and aware of his surroundings. He has a good nose, soft mouth and a strong retrieving instinct. He is hunting with in gun range, making good marks on retrieves and delivering to hand.

He enjoys training and will develop into a strong gun dog and family member. He is inquisitive and interested in activity.

O’Malley is a very athletic dogs with a well-muscled body structure. The attributes of O’Malley are easy to control, attentive to the handler and well mannered. He has the drive and intelligence of his sire, Henry, and the excitement and attentiveness from his mother Flint. He has a solid body structure with strong nose and a natural retrieving ability. O’Malley has hunted one season at our hunting lodge, Pine Shadows Daybreak for fall 2024 and flushed and retrieved many pheasants. He hunts well as a single dog or with multiple dogs and gets along well.

Filson is a liver and white male, well structured solid body structure. He is well muscled, carries himself bravely through the fields and cover. He is fetched trained, hunts within range and is very attentive.

He has been hunting with us at Daybreak for one season and does well as the only dog or with other dogs.

He is a strong dog in cover, delivers birds to hand and comes off missed birds easily.

Roosevelt is a black and white male, tall and slender in build and very attentive. He trains well in obedience, pays attention to the handler and likes working with retrieves and field work. He has been quartering in the field, finding and flushing birds and learning to come off missed birds.

He delivers birds and dummies to hand and is attentive to the handler and surroundings. He will make a solid gun dog hunting in the grouse woods, waterfowl or upland birds.

Coolidge is a liver and white female. She is a very active high energy female with a strong presence in the field. She enjoys the training and learning new things. Ever inquisitive, checking things out and active in all she does.

She is a strong retriever, good delivery and obedient to commands. She is learning to hunt within gun range, find and flush birds and work with the handler.
