This litter is expected to have liver and white pups with sizes from 30 – 45-pound dogs. There should be some alertness in the pups plus the added calmness of Rex coming out in some of the pups. They should be quick learners, inquisitive and a pleasure to have around the house and in the fields. Bandy’s influence with bring in the inquisitiveness and Rex will bring in the calmness with drive coming from both sides. 

FC AFC Carpe Avem – REX 

Rex is a medium sized liver and white male with mostly white spotted liver coloring. He is an even-tempered male, very easy to handle in the field and well-mannered dog in the house. He is inquisitive and very polite around other dogs and people. He is a consistent dog in the field trial circuit and connected with the handler. Great marker on downed birds, exceptional nose for trailing crippled birds and solid retriever with a soft mouth. 

Pine Shadows Bandy 

Bandy is a liver and white female with an active alert exciting attitude. She weighs about 35 pounds. She is a solid well-proportioned female with a sleek body structure.  She possesses a powerful drive in the field with a playfulness when not being trained. She is easy to control in the field; hunts close and retrieves well to hand.  She is an intelligent dog, figuring out the training process and the drills very quickly. She is alert, very easy to be around in the house and the field.

Flint x Magnum’s Litter
Due 8/26/2025

This litter is expected to have liver and white pups with sizes from  36 – 45 pound dogs. They should be athletic dogs with a well-muscled body structure. The attributes of an easy to control, attentive to the handler and manners from Flint and the steady drive and pleasing personality in the house and field of Magnum should produce biddable dogs with a solid body structure with strong noses and a natural retrieving ability. The specialty of this pairing is the social ability of both parents plus the drive in the field with both dogs.

Pine Shadows Magnum

Magnum is a liver and white male with steady drive in the field, easy attitude in the house or while training and hunting. He possesses a solid nose and has great biddability. He is a well structured springer with a strong solid body structure. He is very well mannered around the house and with other dogs. Magnum is very alert, hunts hard in the field and works well in the water. He is currently being run in field trials throughout the year handled by Morgan or his owner Steve. 

Pine Shadows Flint

Flint is a liver and white female with a larger sleek frame. She weighs about 42 pounds. She is a solid well-proportioned female with an athletic body structure.  She is easy to control in the field; hunts close and retrieves well to hand.  She is an intelligent girl, figures out the hunting cover and birds quickly. She is alert and very easy to be around in the house and the field. She is used this fall at our hunting lodge for pheasants and is handled by many of our huntsmen

This litter should have liver and white and black and white pups with sizes from 35 – 48-pound dogs. They should be well structured, well-muscled dogs with intelligence and inquisitiveness. The attributes of an inquisitive mind and energy from Spyder and the calmness and ease of handling of Rex should produce biddable dogs. They will possess strong noses and a natural retrieving ability.

Spider is a black and white female, slightly taller athletic build. She has a well-structured head and body to show off her athleticism. She covers the ground well moving fluidly through the fields while questing. She has a smooth gait, very biddable, attentive, intelligent and a want to please attitude. She is an excellent retriever and bird finder. She has been hunted at our hunting lodge in South Dakota.
